Posted on their website is King Air 90 & 200 Pilots. 1200TT & 100 Type for both postings. Anyone know the current scoop on this operation? Read some older threads saying they were hiring as low as 500TT and 25 Multi. Doubt that is the case these days... www.dynamicaviation.com

I applied in Sept & Dec 08. Made it to the phone interview in Sept. Talked with HR and they stated they have many applicants with plenty of experience. The website mins have been the same for months. Unique flying for a civilan company. I'll apply again once I build more time and experience. Good Luck. Cheers, BigJet |

| It helps a LOT with them, actually. It's difficult to get looked at there without an A&P or a ton of King Air time.

I interviewed there last summer and was offered. Turned it down for QOL reasons. I have several friends and former co-workers flying and wrenching for them. Option 1: try to live in Los Angeles on $11/hour. Option 2: base in VA, go on 3 week domestic or 4 week international trips every other month or so. OK option if you're planning to be single for a while. Option 3: the sandbox. For more info, see if you can dig up JC member invertmast-he was working there as of a few months ago.

I had heard rumors that if you went to the sandbox the pay was $15,000/month. When I talked with Joel at Dynamic, he said it was true. All my friends say I'm nuts, but it would be worth it to me to go to the sandbox for 15k/month! If only I had the King Air time.....

I don't know specific numbers, but I know former CFIs at my school have gone there (Iraq) and paid off massive school loans in a VERY short period of time (think less than 2 years).

They seemed pretty strict about having the 100 hours King Air Time. I would have loved the money! I had applied back in October, but didn't make it to far into the interview process because of my lack of King Air Time. Then I heard back in Feb they had a couple FO spots that I would qualify for, but was told I had to wait 6 months from October to apply.....

I wish I had that 100 hours of King Air time! Sounds like a good company.

This was back in the spring of last year so take it for what its worth... I flew a schools Cessna to a New Market, VA. There was a guy there who flew King Airs for Dynamic and was also an in training A&P. I was blown away by the awesome missions they get to do. They were contracted to do aerial survey in Australia. The flew the King Airs from VA to Australia. Took about 2 weeks, but I cant imagine when you would ever get that type of experience again. He said that having an A&P was pretty much a must. They cant send a crew to fly from VA to Australia and have to rely on contract maintenance when a light bulb goes out or something stupid. If I had the 1200 hours I would apply and quit my 121 job right now just to go do missions like this or play in the sand box.

| Part of the problem is that everyone thinks that way, so as I understand it, there is quite a bit of competition for those spots. In any case I did not interview for that division of the company, so I don't know all the details about it.

They support the US Government and military forces on missions in the middle east (war zones). Their posting has been around the various sites for months ( 8 to be exact ); I do not know if they are hiring or pooling or simply pilots to not want to play 007 operations in the midle east. If anyone gets on with them drop the rest of us a note (if you can). |

Is this similiar to the L-3 Vertex Aerospace? They've been posting for King Air pilots for months now too to work in Iraq, I could only imagine the amount of resumes they've received... As for the CFI job in Iraq who offers this position (I'm guessing probably training Iraqi Air Force cadets)... |
