Nope, bases are HGR and LNS. One plane was a backup for either base and the other was waiting to go home.

I got an email from pilot recruitment a few days ago wanting me to fill out an application. I saw 20 others were sent the same thing. Anyone know if classes are going on right now? Projected hiring numbers?

I talked to Gene Smith, pilot recruiter yesterday. He said that two pilots are leaving, and there is a meeting on Thursday to see if they are going to put another class through. But don't get your hopes up too much, I think he said they have a meeting every Thursday.

I saw on uspilot.com that they are hiring again, and went to their webpage and it also said currently hiring for 402 Captains. Has anyone heard if they are putting classes through soon??

Cape Air seems to be always "hiring". USPilot posts a lot of recycled job ads.

Just curious, for the people who recently (ish) interviewed, how long was it after putting in the app to getting a call? I've had my stuff in for a few months now, and recently sent an updated app/resume...I know they just might not be interested in my app, but I also heard it was taking a while to get to people as things are slow and it's only a pool anyway right now. Just looking for some hope out there! Thanks

Well, I didn't interview, but it was about a week between application submission and rejection email.

Just saw a posting on one of the job boards for Cape freight pilots....is this just an old re-post or are there any happenings over at Cape?

Re-post, I talked with Gene Smith last week, he said no plans for classes yet.

I'm guessing you saw it on USPilot? It's an old recycled Ad. I don't think there is any movement at Cape right now, and probably won't see any until some of the regionals will start recalling. Buddy of mine has been in a hiring pool with Cape since February.

I heard directly from the Chief Pilot when he was in BOS that a new Captain class is going to be starting soon. Didn't catch a date.

Yeah, apparently it's June 1 but it is filled from guys already in the pool. Know a guy who's going to be in there. Suppose to be small.

I do.
There is a bid that comes out with the company...ie ATR-FO. If no one bids for it from the 402, than the company will hire off the street. Most of the time, very few 402 CAs will want to take a pay cut and be FO on an ATR

I would LOVE to go live in Guam for a few years. Great fishing and surfing...
