Always a better place to ramp than swissport. They pay you pennies on the hour, equipment is always broken. Nobody takes any pride in the job. The only upside was for every plane you deice it was like 20 bucks.

My girlfriend currently works for Swissport. She has a love-hate relationship with her job.

She loves the fact that she has a job, but she hates the fact that said job is working for Swissport.

Honestly, it's just a means to an end. Right now in the current economy aviation-related jobs are hard to come by. So she's using this company as a means to build more experience in the industry for the job she really wants in the future. Might be a good opportunity for others to do the same.

I know what you mean man... I have seen the pay and if nothing else better comes up then that is where I will be going... any job is better than no job. I have looked around for other positions and there isnt any... Mostly I think this will be a resume / experience builder for me and not a money maker... I wont get to deice for the position I am looking at but it does make more than a ramp guy...

BTW this was my 100th post!
