I seen this pop up another another website as well. After a little research it appears that they use to be a pay for training company. However this job posting seems to say otherwise. Does anybody have current information on them?

Not sure how current/accurate my info is, but here are some things I've heard. They have a PFJ thing going on if you have under 500 hours, I don't know the price. If you have over 500 hours they are nice enough to let you on without PFJ. I've heard sketchy stories about the operation, but I haven't seen anything bad myself. Pilots are nice enough guys.

The 328 is cool, and they also do charters so you would have a chance to do some different flying instead of the Canyon day in day out. If you have over 500 hours it might not be a bad deal.

This looks interesting. Any current pilots lurking around who can provide more info? Payscale, QOL, Interview gouge, etc.

Thanks.

I know a few guys who are flying/have flown there. Haven't talked to any of them much lately. I have heard a few "grapevine" stories about the place, nothing substantial though.

I talked to two pilots who work there just last week, and they said stay away, even if I wouldn't need to pay to go there.

Did they give any specific reasons?

Did they say why? I'm closing in on 750 hours, depending on how "competitive" the pay is, I might look at this place in June.

Are you sure that the whole SIC outfit is not PFJ? I have been reading on the APC forums stating that the whole outfit is PFJ.

The job postings says, "no training agreement required." Which I take to mean as it is no long a pay for SIC thing. If you look at the date of past postings about this airline, they are several months old.

Yeah, let us know. I was talking to a Vision FO about 2 months ago, and he was the one that told me about the below 500 hr PFJ thing, so as far as I know that is whats up over there. Who knows though, maybe they just weren't attracting anybody and had to get rid of it.

A lot of the Canyon Operators are having trouble finding pilots with everyone just bypassing this step and going straight to the regionals.

They know what the answer to this is, and so far, it's merely talk

This company is right next door to where I've just started my private pilot training. The instructor who took me up on my first flight just got hired with them and put in his 2 weeks with my flight school. I'll probably see him next week, so I'll try and pry some info out of him. I'll post my findings.

Who is your instructor? I'm assuming you're at West Air?

I bumped into a Vision crew a few weeks back. They had a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, so we were sent in to "rescue" them and take their team home.

I mentioned to them about how I'm on an 8 on / 6 off schedule, and how the 8 days on was getting to be a bit too long for me. The CA said he was on his 2nd straight week. The FO was on her 3rd. The FA: week 5 in a row.

Their aircraft (DoJets anyway) seem to be in good shape, and I don't hear many complaints around the charter circuit about them.
