| Thank you for your interest in Falcon Aviation Academy. I am in charge of CFI recruiting at Falcon Aviation Academy in Georgia. We are wanting to appeal to you guys as best we can and over lots of input from other CFI's this is the structure we have come up with. Right now we are paying our guys (and girls) $17 an hour for the first 30 days, provided they complete the aopa online safety courses and attend a safety seminar of some kind after 30 days their pay goes up to $22 an hour. With each additonal rating they get an increase in pay until they top out at $25 an hour. We currently provide Health and Dental benefits to our full time (those who fly at least 70 hours a month) instructors. We also have incentive programs in place, for example......if you were to sign off a private student provided they pass the first time the instructor would get a $75 bonus, additional ratings would be $50, and commercial sign offs $100. We also have alot of international students, if an instructor completes an international private student in 45 days they recieve a $250 bonus. We also have contracts in place as well......If you sign a 6 month contract with us and you have your initial CFI we will pay for your additional rating (CFII, MEI). With a 12 month contract we will pay for the additional ratings plus a $400/ month housing allowance for the 12 months. In some cases we can pay for moving costs with the substitution of a rating. With an 18 month contract you get the same as the 12 month but after 30days pay goes up to $30 an hour (provided you have all your ratings). All of our instructors are provided 5 hours per aircraft training allowance in each aircraft type (DA20, DA40, DA42, C152, C177, C182, BE55, Arrow, Archer) for a total of 35 hours of company provided training. We have 41 aircraft mostly diamond, and 4 atlanta area locations. Our instructors are flying between 90 and 120 hours a month. We would like to speak with you more about becoming a CFI with us, we feel our pay and benefits are fair and hope that we can work together in the future. Send Resume to faarep@falconaviationacademy.com |

Contracts are no bueno either. The pay is kind of crappy at first in comparison with other "international" flight schools. -Rob

| Are you looking for part time instructors i.e. ASA pilots on reserve?

| Don't most airlines restrict you from instructing? I could be completely wrong.

I'm sure that if you came to the company with all of your instructor ratings, you could use some of your negotiating power (not having to ask the company to pay for any additional ratings) for either slightly higher pay after your probation period, or a slightly higher housing allowance. In other news. . . I have been employed with Falcon since September of last year. If anyone has any specific questions about the work environment, do not hesitate to send me a message, I'll do my best to respond in a timely fashion. Nevertheless, the work environment has been great overall. Pay is certainly higher than the average flight school. Falcon is not the traditional flight "Academy," but rather a down to earth FBO "like" training environment, with an FBO feel.

Are you guys serious?? The pay is great compared to almost all other flight schools around! Health benefits? Where the heck can you find a school that has above average pay and includes health/dental benefits??? No...I don't represent Falcon...

Anyone can get a CFI (SE land), and it'll essentially be required if you want students, but I'm pretty sure the school is looking for those who already have any additional instructor ratings.

| That's impressive and it makes the pay even more attractive. I wish I was in a position to move!

How is reserve life at ASA? I'm being told to basically expect one 4 day trip a month, so far nothing in the first 2 weeks. But since xjet will be bankrupt and hacked apart with pieces going to RJET, Mesa, and several third world countries by the time I finish this sentence, I'll keep this thread bookmarked (this also keeps this post reasonably on topic, since it really does sound like a good job).

| Hey guys, we are pretty much looking from everyone from someone with an initial CFI and above, initial pay for CFI is $17/ hour for 30 days. An Instructor with all ratings will start at $20/hour for the first 30 days. Then go up accordingly from there. I appologize for the lengthy initial post, but I wanted to get all the Info in. Let me know if you guys have any more questions........ |

| I would think most do because the time spent instructing counts against the time the airline can use you.

| Um, I'm part 61 @ $25 / hr w/ bennies. I suppose it's all what youre willing to settle for or limit your options to. And, no, we don't do international student training |

This is the perfect summary of the environment at Falcon. I'm 3/4 of the way through the commercial program, I look forward to joining the Falcon team as an instructor in a couple months. Good place to be a student and a terrific place to be an instructor in my opinion (that's based on first hand observation). Feel free to PM me if you want further info.

| Newbie | you say if you sign a 6 month contract with initial CFI, they'll pay for an additional rating... say you aren't quite a CFI yet, will they pay for your initial CFI training with a 6 month contract? |

| I am hesitant to fly for Falcon because upon research of the company I located 2 flight schools with the same airplanes. ( iflyfalcon.com and allianceft.com) and when I called to get the story straight or to see if this was a joint venture, I got the run around by both companies. (Note: look for C172 737KR and Duchess 6042F) What gives?

| A few more questions for current and former Falcon employees: 1) How many hours did you average per month? 2) How much multi time? Did you get Multi from the beginning or not? 3) Is there anyone here who actually did the 6 month contract and got the added two ratings? Sounds worth it in PIC multi time alone. 4) What about housing? 5) What type of hours? (I am a hard worker, but would enjoy a few days off a month to get home to the wife).
