| I heard converting to a Chinese license is a b!tch.... But $110k in China with minimal taxation would go a loooong way...

| Let's just say it would be challenging. Shooting ADF approaches to minimums in a CRJ whilst talking to Chinese military ATC in a communist country with some pretty mountainous terrain...and being managed by J.O. and a board of politburo appointees from the region...and probably flying well over their "90 hours" estimate. You'll work for that six figure salary, they will make sure of that. just keep in mind the the English word "contract" in many parts of Asia culturally translates to "rough draft." Don't expect to find a US-style court system to back you up if there is a violation of any of the terms. And don't screw up and hit one of the many uncharted powerlines or obstacles or bust into military zones or you'll probably have a lot worse welcome than fire trucks and an FAA inspector. Just MHO after a few experiences of my own and stories from others. |
