Default Midland College $36,000 -$38,000 a year

midland college is looking for a flight instructor. below is a link listing requirements, etc. I know they badly needing some one .
Don't be screed if you don't meet the minimum qualifications, i would still apply. If you need more information you can call the MC aviation department at 432-685-4668 or toll free 1-866-749-2376. being a current student i can say it a laid back place to work. Cost of living in the midland area yes on the raise is still low compared to the rest of the U.S.

any question fell free to send me a PM or post a replay

Midland College = Mesa Training Partner

Cost of living in this part of the country is pretty steep considering that I am surrounded by desert. I can't say that I can attest to their equipment because I am not in any way connected to this school.... just happen to be in the same place doing a different job. But I have seen uniforms.... and we all know what uniforms on student pilots mean..... eh don't we?

Midland was always the red headed step child of the MAPD program. There is definately some bad blood there.

yes midland college (MC) is part of Mesa Training Program. instructors don't really get involved with mesa. Yes we do have uniforms. don't really know what that has to do with any thing. As far as equipment we fly newer 172's a bonanza and a barron. Current staff likes the job because of pay, benefits, major holidays off with pay. As to the cost of living? Personally i think is dirt cheap $500.00 for rent on a 1 bedroom apartment, I'm use to paying over a 1,000 a month. i don't know to many CFI jobs that you make 36-38,000 a year with benefits (retirement, medical, vacation and sick pay) and are home every night.

Yeah, you don't get much cheaper than West Texas for cost of living.

fly,

It's amazing what people will complain about, isn't it? I worked at the FMN operation. People still bitched about it there too. IMO it was a kick butt job with low COL as well.

Don't be hatin' on Midland! May not be the prettiest place in the world, but the people are what make a place, IMO. West Texas has the friendliest and most "real" people I've been around in a long time.

It has everything you need to survive. With that said, there's nothin' to do but hang out with friends, BBQ, etc.

In my nearly 3 years with AMF, I've been to prettier places, but I wasn't happy with my QOL until I came here.

Ahhhh yes......Midland/Odessa. Or, as the rest of Texas calls it, Midland/Slow-Deatha.

They are quite friendly to you - if you're white, straight and baptist.

Texas really sucks. Lived there for a few few years while I was going to school. Only a job with a big jet and pay will make me move back there again. For an instructor job and in Midland I think I'll rather keep being poor and keep doing what I'm doing now. I think I'll have 2nd thoughts for living in Midland even if some one offers me a jobto fly a big jet with big pay

It depends on what you like or not like. I have travelled all over the world and I never met people so stuck up and ignorent like most Texas people are any where else. IMO there is no diversity in that State.
