| I'd stay posted on this opportunity. My belief is it's going to grow leaps and bounds over the next few years. Gotta love that UAE. |

| I just saw a story on Sunday on 60 minutes about Dubai. Man, that is one rich country! It was amazing. I would do it in a second especially after seeing that story if it fit into my life plans.

| if you fellas want to work in Dubai, go work for a B1900 operator here in the states for a while (aka easy-to-get job...Colgan/Mesa/etc.)...once you have 500 TT/ 300 Multi (and, the catch here, a B1900 type), you can get hired with Falcon Express freight...a Brit-owned co. in Dubai that does freight runs in the Gulf...and sometimes around Paris too. |

| I'll be in dubai form 29 Oct to 4 Nov flying through from Afghanistan. It's a very nice place once you get used to the culture. Very multinational, people there from all over the world. Coley

Agreed, I was there in '92 and even then it was a very vibrant city. The best port short of Sydney.

| I've applied and been through the first interview. Very basic questions. I am waiting for the second interview with the HR person. I've been doing lots of research and the money isn't that great compared to the incredibly high cost of living in Dubai. If the position is contract rather than employee status then self employment tax has to be paid if you ever plan to return to the US, that knocks 15% right off the top.

| Just for the record guys, 60 K may seem like allot compared to $20.00 an hr, but most comparable jobs for yankees over in that part of the world pay double that...Havent been there but I do know for a fact its astronomical expensive. If you want to go for the flying its prob an awesome adventure. |

| For the adventure, it would be great. Most Western expats in UAE are executives/specialists & are compensated rather extravagantly. They tend to live an upper class existence. CFI's fall in the specialist category, but this compensation pkg is good, not extravagant. So, one's goal should not be to keep up with the Joneses. That said, being in Ras Al Khaimah may be a good thing for some people. While just less than 1hr away by car, it is more "barren" compared to posh Dubai, so there is less pressure to match the living std of other westerners. Expect the need for more cultural adjustment in Ras Al Khaimah. |

| Note that requirements posted on their website have changed. CFI opportunities in the US are plentiful for those seeking a stepping stone; for now, this one in UAE really appears to be aimed for adventure seekers. Education and Qualifications:
