Good news for flight instructors: Tremendous hiring at the regional airlines has ATP instructors getting jobs faster than ever. Thanks to the faster airline hiring, ATP is offering new incentives to flight instructors who want to work with ATP: - $500 start bonus - Free Regional Jet Standards Certification Program ($5,995 value) - Free Housing in Jacksonville during orientation - $2,000 per month pay for instructors working in scheduling - Option to go direct to any of 21 training centers nationwide, without working in Jacksonville These are just some of the new changes that make instructing at ATP better than anywhere else. You get more multi-engine time faster and airline placement assistance. Check out the web site for full details at: <http://www.atpflightschool.com/employment/cfi_jobs.html> I currently instruct at ATP. Feel free to PM me for first hand info about the job

"I currently instruct at ATP. Feel free to PM me for first hand info about the job" What is the hourly rate for instructing at ATP?

| Senior Member | To clarify, thats $2000/m for those willing to work in the call center. To anyone who might consider that, it's not worth it in my opinion. Go to a location as fast as possible and fly. If you want to get paid $10/h to answer phones get a telemarketing job. And DE727, still $1200/m salary (minus $300 for housing), plus bonuses of roughly $200-600/m.

| Which reverts back to 1200/m when you get your location

sounds like the place to be for instructing. Most CFI jobs dont pay that much and you get all that multi time. Now that its free the CRJ class is a pretty good incentive (but not at 2000 dollars). Anyone know how long you have to stay there in order to get that course? |

Most instructors I've met make on about $1800 a month. Some do make a lot more depending on what you're doing. (Privates, Career Pilots, Add-ons). From what I've heard add-on instructors make the most bank.

I just got the email from them today. A bit too late for me, now that I've moved on with my career, but this does look better than when I was a student.

It's a strange coincidence... I was thinking about going up there this morning to the KSUA location to talk to them about their MEI/CFII add on course, and possibly instructing afterwards. I went up there , and they were all talking about the "email" this morning. Then I got home and saw it... Interesting, that's for sure.

Since I start in ATL in April I have built over 329 hours. 113 ASEL and 216 AMEL and signed off for 63 checkrides. My average paycheck has been $1700 but my highest was $2400.

is your paycheck monthly or every two weeks? I firmly believe that any CFI can and should make at least $3000/mo and preferrably $4000/mo. Making only $1200/mo is a crime.

Depends on if you are a career instructor or an addon instructor. Career instructors have private multi's and instrument. Instrument students require a lot of sim time. But on average a good instructor make $400-$600 in bonuses. An addon instructor does a lot more flying. I make an average of $800-$1200 in bonuses.

| Senior Member | Is there a list of flight schools somewhere that send you students, has no contract, will fly you 80+ hours of multi a month, and pay $36,000-$48,000/year?
