I just got this info from someone and wanted to pass it on to anyone interested. I'm currently very happy where I am so this doesn't benefit me, but it may benefit someone else. http://www.transstates.net/careers.html#pilots

| LOL!! Well they have to do something to add incentive against the other carriers, I guess.

| Old Skool | ![]() They pay better than PCL but still, whiskey tango foxtrot. I remember chuckling when someone said that Mesa's new minimums were a CPL, thinking that was ridicilous!

I'd never fill out an app there as long as they have GoJet on property. TSA has been hiring for a long time. They can't get people to show up to class, and I think their attrition high as well. They're hurting really bad for pilots. Maybe worse then other outfits. Plus I hear that they're prone to say you're hired into the EMB but show up to class to learn that you're going to fly the CRJ-700! No thanks. |

the CRJ is operated by GoJet while the ERJ is operated by TSA. That's the sticking point, not the equipment you fly.

I heard 8/10 fail out of initial training. They had training at Flight Safety in St. Louis when I was there.

| Old Skool | They probably go in with the attitude of; "They need me, they're desperate, I'm doing them a favor by working here."

But your FOM probably doesn't require you to be configured and on target speed at 1000 feet either........

An 80% fail rate certainly isn't good for training. I have to say that even though the pilots for GoJets have become unionized, there appears to still be a bad stigma for having to join them (even if you unintentionally end up there, thinking you'd be with WaterSki).

"I can keep a 50 knot overtake on an EMB until a 1/2 mile final in a 210 anyday!" You could probably do the same with a 757, but I wouldn't recommend it... |

| Gone West | I know a few that were hired there with "significantly" less than 100 multi.
