Wow, your guys really are hurting for instructors I see. Whats the pay rate and how many hours per month. I might be interested, especially if there is an opportunity to get in that sexy King Air 90

Doh...thats what I get for skimming.

How many hours per month do you estimate the new CFI would fly? Also, does the rate go up if flying 135?

hours...hard to say an exact....

I've been the only full time instructor for about 2 months now and the part timers are rarely seen, so I've taken pretty much every student...However, I got a class date coming up and I have about 12 students that wont have an instructor come March 27......

As an idea my total flight time in the last 90 days is....

120 hours total
12 hours multi (turbine)

Of course winter is a bit slower, but students are walking in the door all the time now that the temperature is warming up.

Its no 80 hours a month like when i was in dallas, but for the area not to bad...bout 40 a month

Key to being happy at rick is going in understanding its a flight instructing job...not a charter job, if you have really high expectations to do a ton of multi flying all the time, you may be dissappointed.....Yes you can get multi time, yes its quality multi time.....but, its not regular enough to depend on it for a paycheck....but i did have a ton of fun in a king air for my first turbine and enjoyed the experience flying into laguardia, jfk, teter., newark etc...
