Default FL flying job

SINGLE ENGINE RECIPROCAL AIRCRAFT PILOT, State of Florida
Aerial detection and suppression - Provides fire intelligence and directions to fire crews engaged in fire suppression activities. Recognizes those elements that affect fire and potential safety problems and advises ground crews. Follows low altitude flight procedures flying predetermined routes and areas for the purpose of sorting smokes, detecting fires detecting insect and disease occurrences, checking best management practices on silvicultural activities, and other flights as assigned. Coordinates with the Center/District Manager to establish fire detection routes and patterns to best cover assigned areas of responsibilities. Maintains currency in assigned aircraft. Act as pilot-in-command flying personnel as required. Performs preflight inspections, checks weather, files flight plans as appropriate, performs post flight duties such as aircraft discrepancy list, fuel aircraft, ensures security of aircraft, closes flight plan, maintains pilot proficiency. Coordinates Center/District aircraft maintenance to include washing and waxing aircraft, cleaning interior, changing oil, changing tires, replacing bulbs, lubrication hinges and bearings, exchanging radio (if advised to do so by Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Commercial Pilot with an instrument rating for the appropriate aircraft and completion of one thousand (1,000) hours of flight time.
