Default Cirrus SR-20 pilot needed in Atlanta

I have friend that has asked if I knew anyone interested in a Cirrus position in Atlanta. If anyone is interested in the position please PM me or e-mail me at aschwimmer@adelphia.net. This is a great opportunity for a lower time pilot that wants to build quality time.

Sorry to take so long, the minimums are 500 hours and a CFI certificate. The pay is 20K a year and I am not sure about per diem. It seems that qol is good, they keep the plane in excellent shape, and most destinations are in Florida, including Key West. The home base is Atlanta. I am just helping a buddy out.

I don't know much about it, except that its a fractional company that uses cirrus aircraft. I think their mins were MUCH higher than 300TT, somewhere around 1500TT I think, not sure though.

Airshares Elite uses two independant companies to do pilot services and flight training. The first company is Premier Pilots, and the second comany is PNC (I belive).

Yeah can you provide a few more details on "a day in the life" of a Cirrus pilot working for ABC Company. Is it a company with several SR-20's or an individual with one Cirrus who wants a guy to fly him around? Who would I address a resume to in other words? Any website? How flexible do you have to be? Can you hold another flying job on top of that? Are they always hiring or is this a once in a life time opportunity?

Haha, sorry to give you all those questions. I'll email a resume to you later tonight.

Satsair is a company out of Greenville,Sc spoke to one of their pilots based out of Atlanta. Their fleet is all Cirrus and they are 135. The plane I looked at had a tks system on it. He stated that they are growing and needing pilots. Satsair.com

Is this a part-time job? Like weekends or something?

$20,000 for a full-time position? Where are they getting the free crack?

mtsu av8er, I don't understand why you would post that. If you want to continue flight instructing and making 10 thousand a year that is your choice.

I don't agree, $20k for an entry level flying gig is better than what some other 135 companies are paying.

I wouldn't take anything less than $60,000/yr to fly a non-air conditioned, non-radar equipped 210 around the south personally. But that's why you are doing your job, and I am doing mine.

You're right, it is a choice. Fortunately, some of us refuse to continue this brainless cycle of low pay. Just because the pay is marginally closer to the poverty level doesn't make it a better choice.

Besides, if you're making 10k as a flight instructor, you're seriously lacking or you're selling yourself short.

First, my post wasn't a jab at freight pilots. It does however illustrate the fact that with every job there are trade offs. For the most part, job pay is based off of supply/demand and they will only pay just enough* to get qualified people into those seats. This is the main reason for unions IMO - to raise the pay and keep it higher than what would normally be driven by a market economy.

If you would like to hold out for that 'golden carrot' job you will be waiting a long time. Not to mention the fact that the 'golden carrot' jobs generally require a bit more experience flying in jobs that pay substandard wages at first, would you not agree?

* EDIT: compensation can come in the form of flight time as well as $$ at some levels in out "career"
