Pilot Internship Program 4/19/2006
HOURS:
Monday-Friday, minimum hours 20/per week
LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP: 1 Semester
Qualifications:
250 total hours of flight time
Commercial Pilot's license
CFI a plus
Enrolled in an accredited college or university as a junior or senior
Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
Organizational skills and advanced ability to multi-task
Duties:
Work closely with the Domicile Chief Pilot assisting with the day to day operations of flight crews
Research and complete reports upon request of Chief Pilot
If you have not been accepted into the Pilot Internship Program, and you are interested in future opportunities please e-mail a cover letter and resume to rchristopherson@skywest.com. You do not need to fill out an application.

This is a great chance to see what the airline is like and get your foot in the door. SKW hires a lot of their former interns.

It's unpaid. You do get flight benefits on SkyWest airlines. You may also get the opportunity to sit in on recurrent training classes and possibly simulator training.

Is it true that minimun flight times are lowered for interns? I'm going to apply when i go to college one day after the Navy.

the mins are not lowered but they will hire you AT mins. I did the internship in '04 and was hired with 1032TT/138ME
