It's a pay site, but if you're in that area, and are in the market for this type of job, it'd be well worth it, from the sound of it. Good luck, sounds good.

Hilarious!!

Sounds like a great job, with good pay....$40k is more than you could expect as a first year FO with some of the regionals....

This is my ideal job, a nice transition between single and multi-engine pistons and a CRJ/EMB.

How many jobs are out there like this?

If this was in a different location I would love to apply for something like this as long as they don't take advantage of you with that "extra duties as directed by the Flight Operations Manager" part.

Anyone know of anything like this in the DC area?

We'll its a whole state you know. Assuming the plane is based in one of the larger cities (Charleston, Columbia, Greenville) you can probably still get a house for less than $200k, but there are any number of communites in any of those places where the houses start at well over $600k and I bet the average new house price is mid $300's.

so you have to sign a two year training contract to swing the gear in a single pilot airplane that you can't log sic time in.... if a company makes you sign a contract like that for that length of time, its probably because they have been burned a few times, you gotta wonder why those people left?!?

Aha, how nieve of me, no SIC required. That said, if the KA-350 is certified for single pilot operations, why are they paying $40k to a gear monkey?

Unless the other duties are being the F/A?!

Buffalo, No more info...just found it on the website. Sorry!

Homeslice and BP, it depends on how the PIC is reated as to if it's a required SIC position. The 350 is Part 23 certified and requires an SIC unless the PIC has taken a type ride with the SIC restriction lifted. It also depends on how their OPSPEC lists the operation.

Yep. Also, this "SIC" candidate will probably be given a type rating. This of course means PIC can and will be logged when operating under Part 91. The training agreement is standard, not much to read into. Sounds like a great opportunity for an up and comer.

Uhhh, maybe because they want two pilots. Wouldn't you if you could afford it? It's foolish (IMHO) to operate these type of airplanes with one pilot when you can afford two. Gear monkey? F/A? What are you talking about? What kind of position are you in or hoping to attain British Pilot?

hours: check

king air experience: check

contract with another company already: check

signed a training contract at my current employer already, i'm here for at least 350 hours...which might be a while considering the lack of flights lately. haven't flown in over two weeks. i love it though, just wish it was a bit more busy

How is that "terrible". What do you guess the average starting job out of college pays (non aviation)?

Werd...can't find better than that in many places regardless of the field.

About 3 hours to the east of DC on the eastern shore there's a gig identical to this. PM me if you're interested.

Excellent point. A 22/23 year old CFI with the required hours can start 40K a year. . .with no college? Seems like a nice amount for me.
