It's a ploy to get back at us for giving them trouble with the Ports deal!

Remember, Emirates will only hire "good" pilots, HA!

Just to clarify something, the 17th and 19th are not in conjunction with Kit Darby's Air Inc job fair on the 18th. EK will have their own conference room at the hotel on those days, entry is free.

Do we RSVP somehow? Or just show up? Just to clarify- time is Friday at either 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM or 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM same day?(lunch break? Heheh).

Or Sunday the 19th at the same times?

Saw this on another board. I hadn't seen any need to RSVP before so I doubt it is necessary. Even on our own website it doesn't mention it. They look like separare sessions to me.

Emirates will be conducting information briefings for Flight Deck Crew in Atlanta and Los Angeles in March.
If interested in attending please email: pilot.recruitment@emirates.com

Well, I showed up at a quarter till and walked in the hall. I'm assuming that no one knew about that days event because it was just me and a captain from Jetblue. Everyone was probably going to todays official event.
The Recruitment Manager Allison Ward was there along with a A330 Captain, Ex US Air guy. Both were super nice. When I got home I told my brother and he recalls Allison being the assistant to the former head of HR. Good to see her advancing. She was a really nice lady.
We chatted for a little while. They asked me who I fly for and what I fly. I thought that since EK wants to see jet time, that was going to be my nail in the coffin. But it actually wasn't. They still seemed very interested in me.

We then sat down and started a powerpoint presentation given by both Allison and Brian. I thought Brians presentation was fantastic. He had photographed what it was like when he first arrived in Dubai on his first date of hire. It was like being with him there. He showed pictures of his family and things they did around Dubai. Showed pictures of the A380 in Dubai and him standing right below the engine. WOW.
He discussed many typical questions you might ask about QOL stuff. They weren't afraid to be upfront and direct about everything. No beating around the bush.
Then Allison talked about benefits and pay packages. In all it took about from 2-4:00pm.

Makes me really miss those old days.

Anyone going tomorrow in ATL? If I can swing it with scheduling, I'm going to check out the afternoon session.
