Anyone know of a place to find a part-time instructor job in and around Columbus, OH?

Not sure, but there are a ton of small airports around there...just go shopping around. I'm hardly ever out around town during the daytime. Are you a jet floater, or have a daytime run, or looking for weekend work? Good luck on finding some pt stuff. I'm having problems finding stuff here in JAX for part-timers. Of course, I haven't really been looking too hard either |

Bolton Field has a flight school, and Don Scott has quite a few flight school joints on their field too. I think Port Columbus has one or two schools also. Good Luck in your search! |

Yea call up any of those places on that other thread and you'll most likley get a gig somewhere. My school (new flyers www.newflyers.net ) is looking for an A&P so if you have one of those, you'll get a gig there!

Not to totally hijack the thread but I have a question for the Columbus-ites here - I just started a new job at CMH last week and over the course of the next year probably be moving up here but that's beside the point - I'm looking for a flying club/FBO in the area that has a twin - doesn't particularly matter to me what type - any suggestions?? Maybe I'm still too new here (going on 8 months) but I feel it is more ribbing, especially for you former freight guys that go to the dark side, than animosity. I could be wrong, and maybe there is some bad blood between some, but us newbies have no problems with you Windrider guys & gals ![]() Just out of curiosity, do you still use Starcheck or Wrider? I've heard some of the former freight guys refuse to use the "official" callsign...and if so, how does that work? Do you/they use a number they assume we don't use? I know when I'm doing a ferry flight, I'll use my seniority number, and I think a few of us floaters do this, so how do you know you won't double up on numbers? Just curious, if you know... |

TX, I would say you are too new to have seen some of the animosity. A lot of freight guys hate JetRide because they feel like JetRide is stealing money from the freight side. Sure, JetRide borrowed some money from Express in the beginning, but most of that has been paid back and JetRide is turning huge profits these days. Revenues at JR have steadily increased over the past few years. Either way you look at it, JR and Express are all under the same mother company (ANS). We are all working for one common goal: to make money for the company and provide top-notch customer service. As far as the callsign thing. I fly with all ex-freight guys and we use WRider. As far as I know, everyone is using WRider. They are working on getting us a new callsign. I have never seen a plane on JetRide's flight tracker using the USC prefix. So, as far as I know, everyone uses WDR (WRider). |

Outside of the immediate area, you could go down to Wilmington (I66) and fly their Aztec.
