Default New CFI's

Since I have moved on I still get the 411 on how my friends at my old flight school are doing. The good part is they need instructors for their new contract program in Atwater, California (Old Castle Airforce Base). I hear that you will have 3 to 4 full time students and will get around 1800 a month plus room and board. But the bad part is that it is in the middle of no where. Anybody that is interested can PM me or send your resume to Sierra.

What do you know about the contract? Is it for inital training of foreign students from Asia? $1800 plus room and board, combined with the low cost of living up there is a pretty great deal for a flight instructor.

What is the name of the flight school. I am in Fresno and will be a CFI in about a month. Thanks

The flight school is Sierra Academy in Livermore, they will have the forgien stuff in Castle. The pay and room/board is just from what I heard from my buddy whom was hired. The training is for 3 Asian airlines. But for a low time CFI it seems like a good deal.

"plus room and board" pretty much covers the cost of living, the $1800 is to cover your training loan payments and beer.

SFLAX, you used to instruct for Sierra? What'd you think of them?
