I can come up with a really good program... How much are you willing to pay? I can even make some cool ads, and get some airline pilot testimonials too! |

I know of a good program. You pay me $10,000 to fly me around in a plane you provide for 100 hours. The flights will be scheduled service from Sacramento to Fresno and back. The flights will depart sacramento at 0300 on Sundays. There will be a 4 day wait in fresno (you will be responsible for your own room and board) then leave fresno at 2345 on Wednesday. If you do a good job, I'll write you a letter of reccomendation.

Hey...we've got a GREAT 'pay for hier' program over here in the sandbox. Come on over. It'll only cost you between 12 and 18 months of your life...you'll get free sand colored crew uniforms, free food (well, sometimes it resembles food), and all the backseat time you could ask for... ...Back seat of a C-130, UH-60, CH-47, that is...hell, maybe even some front seat time in a Humvee if you play your cards right. The way people seem to operate these days, I suppose you could log ALL that stuff as PIC, right? All except the Humvee time, that is. I'd have to insist you log that as Dual Recieved...as you don't know where the Improvised Explosive Devices are likely to be stashed on the MSR here...I'd have to call that a definite "training flight". And all you'll have to pay for this great logbok padding opportunity is the aforementioned 12-18 months of your life. Of course, seeing as how it might be the LAST 12-18 months of your life, that makes it a pretty expensive proposition, doesn't it? On second thought...better just go fly some frieght, or report sabatoge by ground squirrels on some Alaskan pipeline. Or pay me a six pack of Budweiser per day, and I'll sign off on your "FO" time in my 1946 Aeronca 7AC. Which seat you want...front or back? Best of luck... |

[ QUOTE ] ..and its hire not hier [/ QUOTE ] Well technically, it is supposed to be " it's " and not " its " ![]() Just pulling your chains! ![]() Going back to the original topic, here's an example: http://studentservices.aero.und.edu/....php?JobID=730 You serve one year as an UNPAID first officer (co-pilot) on the Cessna CJ3 jet. At the end of that period, you receive a type rating. They say that expenses are paid while on the road... so looks like they cover a hotel. Ha. Also, the minimums are 1000 TT and 100 ME. If you have those qualifications, go apply for a regional, or try around some other business operators that actually *pay* you. |
