Default 206 in Nepal

I found a possible gig in Nepal with a one year contract flying a 206 on geo survey flights. They want somebody asap. I'm definitely considering it. Pay is 2500/month in euros (which is better than the dollar) with a 5000 euro bonus at the completion of contract. PM me if you want details. I'm having a hard time copying it over here.

A buddy of mine from flight school has been doing fixed wing air ambulance flying in Kenya for awhile now...seems to love it. Started out in a 206 and I believe is now flying a Caravan and something else, but I forgot what. It would definitely be one heck of an experience.

Well, you might get more actual time in Nepal than CA.

Well, it's geo survey, so I'm not sure about that.

Any word on the maintenance of the plane? I am not sure how regulations work in Nepal.

I don't know much. I fired off a resume and we'll see what happens. I have lots of questions if they call.

If I didn't just get a new job, I'd do it. Sounds really interesting to me!

That's what I figured, too. Yeah, I'm applying to airlines and it probably won't help my marketability. But it's not going to hurt it, either. I'm under 30, single, and just couldn't pass up a stab at a once in a lifetime opportunity. Of course, it is a huge step, and it took a little prodding from my good buddy PhotoPilot. We'll see if they call.
