Default Lynx Aviation Interview

I have tried the search function already so please help me out.

Does anyone have a recent gouge on Lynx Aviation's interview process? I'm suppose to go there next Thursday. Any info helps. Thanks.

Ryan

I interviewed with them back in February. PM me for the gouge, but if you have looked at airlineinterviews.com, then you have already seen it....

Already sick of Alpine?

I interviewed and got hired last fall only to be put into the hiring pool... Still in the pool last time I talked to them in February but I am guessing they have flushed it since then.

Know the missed/go-around procedure for your plane and know it with an engine failure at the point where you don't have any runway left. Don't tell them about a Seminole either as they can't seem to understand that a Seminole won't be able to go around. Study the Instrument written too, they gave out a test with questions from some of the written tests, mostly the instrument, commercial, and I think ATP FAA tests.

If they can't understand why a seminole can't perform a go around then provide them a nice little lesson on Vmc with some additional NTSB reports proving your point! Hmm, are they on CNN's list too?

All I know is, there were a lot of pi$$ed of people. I think you are better off now anyway... How are things at Jeppesen? Are you still flying? I saw that Jeppesen actually has their own flying club. That's pretty cool.

FriendlySkies: If you need more info, check out www.lynxpilots.com for the latest.

I am finding you are right. I have really been enjoying working at Jepp. No talk or feeling of "doing everything on the cheap". They actually have color ink in their printers. The schedules are great and they are really flexible. Can work work pretty much whatever schedule you want as long as you get 40 in each week. Four 10s makes for a 3 day weekend and if you stagger it, every other weekend is a 4 day weekend.

I stopped flying though, we are building a house soon and I would rather do that whole thing than give someone money to fly. May look into the club down the road as it has by far the best rates out there, but am not in any rush to spend money on airplanes at the moment.

Did you ever hear back from Lynx? I heard there has been a large turnover there from the top to the bottom, and like you said, alot of folks there are pi$$ed and I think will be more pissed when Lynx starts flying for another carrier with a new base.

I interviewed back in February and didn't get the job. Of course the airlines don't tell you why you didn't get it. But they filled the next class with guys that had previous Dash time. I think I can reapply again in a few months, but I don't think I will. The pay and workrules are still horrendous! I did hear they got a new CHief Pilot, so maybe some things will change...

Yeah, about that new CP... If you mean change for go farther down the direction they are heading then you are probably right. I have a feeling that the CP wasn't the problem. The new guy in charge there is the one who scammed me out of my spot there. After I found out they were sending people to class who interviewed months after me, I asked what I could do to get from the hiring pool to the training class and this prick actually told me that I should go and get some turbine time while I wait for class to start.

Did you manage to find work elsewhere yet? Jepp always has a bunch of stuff on their careers page. The FAA had some jobs available out at the DEN TRACON.
