You CAN show up in shorts and sneakers.

There ya go.
I wear jeans a t-shirt to work so don't ask me but last I heard the passenger airlines hire those "Professional Types" so you should probably dress like one.

When I interviewed, I'd just check to see if you could dress yourself professionally. I know what you're thinking, but you'd be surprised.

Also, I checked to see if shoes were polished and, if applicable, tied. Again, you'd be surpried...

Wear the suit.

Be professional attired. Conservative. Let your resume and personality do the shining.

Wait- you're a pilot. Be conservative with the personality, too.

Wear the suit and tie. I've heard about guys specifically getting sent home right from the start for just that reason.

Relax. Breathe. Try to enjoy the process. Hopefully it'll only be the one time for a while.. and it can even be fun.

Yea, I was going to say that. Go conservative, black and red. Black suit with the red tie hasn't failed me at three airline interviews.

Navy blue is usually considered the most conservative, followed by a dark gray. Black is for funerals.

That's what I've always thought. At first I thought somebody forgot the sarcasm tag after "black suit"

All I wear are black suits, and sometimes beige one's. To me it is how you wear the suit, like for instance NO ONE can dare say that a black suit with pin stripes does not look professional/unique looking!

I wore a black suit with pin stripes to my interview. The pin stripes don't stand out to much though. Plain black is for funerals and for servers at nice restaurants. Navy or Charcoal is the way to go.

were your pin stripes really skinny? or were they about 1/7in?

Dark navy blue suits are pretty much the norm. You do have some variation in the choice of tie, just don't show up dressed like a pimp.
