Default Interview question

If you go to an interview and are offered the job, are you expected to let them know then if you will take it?
The reason I ask, I am going to interview with ASA but I am also waiting to hear about another job. I do not want to sit around too long and wait on it, so that is why I am going to the ASA interview.
Has anyone ever told an airline to give you a few days to decide if offered the job, or is that not commonly done?
Thanks.

I would just accept a date from the first one offered and if something better comes along, call up the first and say (in much nicer wording) thanks, but no thanks. That way you have a backup, and won't burn any bridges down. Just my opinion and better than making it seem like you're making them wait for you and it'll keep your options open with a backup.

Yeah take the job and if the other one pans out you can always back out of the other one. I have heard if you don't take the job when offered they can remove their offer and give it to someone else. They have quotas and want to fill them.
