| Sim Ride Hey all, quick question...
When doing the sim portion of an airline (regional) interview, do they have you sit in the right seat or left seat?
Thanks!

| Re: Sim Ride Show them you are CA material. For the interview sit in the left unless you are told otherwise.

| Re: Sim Ride Most people during my interview sat in the left seat. I requested to sit in the right as the only experience I had in a CRJ FTD was from the right. It doesn't really matter, but from what I see/hear, I would think most people sit in the left seat. |

| Re: Sim Ride Not every regional will use a real level C or D SIM so that may not be an issue in many cases. I think Eagle does, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head. Many will use a single seat SIM like you would find in a flight school. SkyWest uses a Frasca or an old ATC 810. I interviewed with Chautauqua (Republic) some years ago and they used a desktop PCATD. (Basically a PC with a yoke, rudder pedals, throttle quadrant and some NAV radios.) Some don't have a SIM as part of the interview.

| eagle sim ride... I interviewed with American Eagle last week - they use a full motion level D F100 simulator. The instructor had us fly from the right seat.
By the way, most of us were stressing the ride when we were waiting our turn - the sim ride is nothing to sweat, you don't need any special training or sim time - a basic instrument scan will work! |

For any other airline (depending on who it is), BE WELL PREPARED!
