| ExpressJet interview questions I was invited to interview on August 8th. This is going to be my first airline interview so I was hoping for some logistical advice.
My flight is about 4 hours and is scheduled to arrive at 12:15pm for a 1:00pm interview. Obviously I don't want to be late. The question is, should I wear my suit on the plane, or wear something else and then change once I get into Houston? On the one hand I don't want to be wasting time changing if the flight is running late, on the other hand I don't want to look like I just slept in my suit. Probably a dumb question, but better to ask here then look like an idiot when I get there. |

Also, having just been through the interview process I have a couple other things you never see on the interview gouges:
1. When you get to Houston and head out the limo exit, the shuttle you want picks you up from the center median.
2. I suggest bringing some sort of a bag with you. If (when?) you get hired they give you 3 binders and a poster that you will lug around with you the rest of the day.
Good luck. Let me know if you have any other questions.

| Re: ExpressJet interview questions I brought a garmet bag for my jacket. Just fold it in half and lay it in the luggage bin for the flight. Also bring a lint roller...
As for bringing a bag for the books. No way, the cool part is walking through the airport later and getting all the thumbs up from every pilot as you walk to your gate! They see those books you are carrying and know exactly what you just went through. Haha... They are cumbersome though, and bag is not a bad idea actually. |

Know your Jepps, IFR flying and regs, aircraft systems, and you will be fine. They are really looking for personality more then anything I think - in all three rooms I made a strong effort to smile, make eye contact, and really talk with the folks interviewing me, rather then just answering their questions. Btw I'm a CFI with 1045/138. There were some other CFIs in my group, one 135 and one former 121 pilot. |
