| ASA Ok, sorry it has taken me a while to post this. I did the on site interview with ASA at ATP. They had us start out by taking the written test. Next we waited until they called us back for the one on one interviews. I interviewed with Stan. He asked me a lot of HR questions. Some examples, what do you like/dislike about instructing? What would make you a good crewmember, etc. Then he asked me about the low enroute and approach plates. That was about it for that part.
They called me back and asked me to come to ATL and do the sim ride. I flew up to ATL the next Saturday. I flew the Crj-200 sim, since it was the only one open. Take off, climb and maintain an altitude while maintaining an airspeed. Climb up another 3,000 ft maintaining the same airspeed. Turns 180 left 180 right. Decend down to an altitude, direct the VOR. Hold on the VOR, then vectors to the ILS. Take it down and land. Flew back to ATL on Tuesday for the drug test, and got the call inviting me to join the late January class.
Hope this helps any of you that are interviewing soon. Good Luck!

If you have any questions during training, let me know.
I have recurrent sim at the end of February, so I may see you over at FSI.

| Re: ASA A-Dub is doing the RJ thing this week. We have some lovely new artwork hanging that closely resembles the console of a RJ.
After this week and about 20 more hours, we should be golden. Man, I can't wait to have the place to myself for 6 weeks!

| Re: ASA Since this is an ASA thread, thought I'd hi-jack slightly and ask anyone at ASA if they know what the mins are right now for new hires? Will they kick back your app. if your slightly under the advertised mins? And what are the chances of getting LAX domicile? Thanks, 3 green. |

| Re: ASA 500/50 for people with a CRJ course or equivalent of a CRJ course; 800/50 for everyone else;
I met the director of pilot hiring for acey and presented him my resume that was short by 14 multi and he told me to get the rest of the hours before turning in the application packet; which he then presented to me. I hope to be applying in less than 2 weeks;
I was told there is a good chance of being able to transfer to LAX after x amount of time; But all of the people that I know that were recently hired on at acey this year were all assigned the ATL |

| Re: ASA Hi Berge,
Thanks for the heads-up. Wonder what courses other than ATP's count toward the CRJ requirement... $6,000 more debt isn't really what I want to do unless I have too.
14 hours short on the multi? ouch that is so close to the 50 multi probably hurts thinking about it

| Re: ASA Based off a personal experience and the experience of a friend, you are looking at around 5-7 days. You will receive a phone call (hopefully!) from an HR rep who will conduct about a 20 question phone interview--probably mentioned in this post or the site somewhere. They are just looking for a little background information (i.e. convictions, driving record, etc.), so no need to study, etc. Good luck! |

| Re: ASA Riot,
I'm at 94 ME so I know the feeling ...
I'm not sure I want to give ATP's $24,000 via financial aid and live on 1st year salary after I'm hired. That would stress me out. Taking the CRJ transition doesn't sound that bad if you can pick up the ME flying somewhere else for alot less. |

| Re: ASA Hey guys,
How long does it take for some people to get a response from Acey after emailing them your resume? In addition, does Acey submit a reply message saying that they have received your resume and are reviewing it like some other aviation companies will do? If they have not responded in a week lets say, how immoral (sic) is it to give pilot recruiting a phone call and politely ask about the application (reason being is that phone numbers were given during an information session I attended recently; including of all things the Director of Pilot Hiring's cell)

| Re: ASA I had my resume walked in by a current ASA pilot and still haven't heard anything (Its been about a week now). From what I've been told they will call you and either invite you to an interview or tell you to get more experience...?!
I have a few resumes out with regionals right now, and most of them are hiring a lot, so I'm thinking thet are pretty swampt with applications, so it takes them a while to get back to you. I do have an interview with Comair next week, but it's definitely not my first choice of regionals.

| Re: ASA I emailed my resume to ASA at about 8 in the morning about 1 month ago. I got a call at about 2 pm that day--the guy said to get 50 ME hours and call him back for an interview.
Still at 44 with a 310 in annual but once that is done 6 more hours shouldn't be a problem.
Anyone know the chances of getting assigned someplace other than ATL?
