| Airnet Interview I had about three hours of sleep before the big day today but its come and gone already. I arrived in Columbus about 4:30a on the Lear-which was awsome by the way! I arrived at Airnet about 9 and waited for everyone. There was another guy interviewing there-he had about 750 hours tt. We had a pretty good tour of the facility with a nice presentation of the company (I love the way they break down the difference in pay between the regional route and their route). We had lunch and started our written test around noon. The test isnt nearly as hard as they were trying to make it out to be. Anbody who could pass the instrument written would do just fine on that test. Then came the sim ride. Took off right into mins. Did some steep turns and stalls had an instrument failure then went into a hold and set up for a VOR-A approach while in the hold. I was a bit sloppy but I didnt fly it too bad. Went missed then set up to go direct to the outer marker for the ILS back into CMH and he failed an engine. This is where it started to get ugly. I secured the engine just fine just wondered way off heading. Then I got a little rushed trying to set up for the ILS so I was pretty sloppy doing that. I rode the glideslope way too high (wasent used to an HSI). I did get down to DH and had the approach lighting in sight then lost it so I went missed but was told just to cut it cause it was over. Then came the interviews. I think I conveyed my wish to work at Airnet pretty well to both Craig and Bill. Then it was over and now Im waiting for ride back to charlotte. I think I might have lost it in the sim but they will send a letter 7-10 days. If it doesnt go well, Im seriously going to work on getting in to there within the next six months. |

I went missed 100 ft early on the ILS and Jason just reached in and pulled my only engine and said "I need you to land." I was pretty sure I wasn't hired. They told me the standard 7-10 days. Zues called me less than 24 hours later. I've been with Airnet 7 months now.

| Re: Airnet Interview It sounds like you had a great interview. If you walked in and out with a great attitude and desire to work there Im sure you are going to get a call soon. Dont sweat the sim ride, Ive heard there just lookin to see if you have a basic set of skills which they can work with. They want to see if the "clays still workable"

| Re: Airnet Interview Yeah if I can make it through the sim, anyone can. Of the 9 sims I did before and during training, I think one didn't qualify as a theme park experience.

| Re: Airnet Interview I dont know for sure but dont they want at least 500hours due to the SIC program where they want a pilot to get up to the 1200TT in order to go off on their own? I thought there was something like that in which I read before about Airnet? |

If not they usually look at guys in the mid 800s and then take you into training as soon as a class opens up. If you are close to 1050 by the time that happens I'd wait and make sure I got over that so I wouldn't have to take a 2nd checkride. And obviously they will SIC you until you meet all the 135 IFR PIC reqs.
