What kind of times did you have when interviewed? I have read a bunch of the aviation interviews online with Mesa and it seems like most people had above 1000. I'm not sure how much truth there is to them trying to hire over 200 people by the end of July but I doubt they would all have 1000. Any thoughts? And good luck, I hope you get the call.

On the day I interviewed was June 21. My total logbook time was 1217 and with 124 MEL and just meeting the FAR 135 min. IFR requirements .
Some people their were less then me by far amount and some had lots more then I did. One interesting note is one applicant who washed out on the written. Already is employed by Eagle and has been their 7.5 yrs. as FO. He was willing to ship over to Mesa for the street captain or 6 mo. upgrade in the dash. But, he did not study for the written. We had twenty-three souls and twenty-two made it to the face-face.

For me mine was a 2:1 form interview. I'll admit it was my first and I was stumped on a couple of things. Some things I knew the answer too but don't think it came out as it should have. Think I let my nerves get the best of me. They need somwhere in the area of 200 be appropriately staffed. We had one from the PACE program and another who works as ground crew from Air Midwest in N. Dakota and the regional chief pilot approved him on a special case. For me I came in with 1) Internal Sr. Capt. / IOE Sr. Check Airman out of ORD. We have known one another more than 5 yrs.

Later on today when I am able to all questions to the best of my ability will be posted both on here and on aviationinterviews.com

I agree, too many negative comments. Some people belong at FI.

So, if it's that bad, you're quitting - right?

I mean, if you're really "used and abused" as you say, you're getting out right?

Oh, you're not - so, I guess it's not so bad . . . hmmm. I can't remember what they call that, but I think that it goes with cheese!

I heard you have to pay to interview at Mesa. Is that true?

thats ridiculous.......So how do they go about collecting it? do they ask for it in the begining? do they say "welcome to mesa, the best Airline to be a part of, please pass your payment forwards?"

I dont mean to take anything away from you pilot754, good luck with them, i just think its sad that it has come to this.

If you're cool with working harder than many other regional pilots for lower pay then by all means go work for Mesa. Just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into so you don't turn into a constantly bitching and unhappy person. Oh, and commuting is the devil. Cheers!

You pay a processing fee, just like many other airlines including FEDEX.

If that makes you feel better, then yes, Mesa is just like FedEx.

You cheap ass pilots are crying over 50 bucks. Give me a break. All I hear from you guys is "you gotta work your way up blah blag" But do you want to work your way up? Guess not. I can hear some of you in the crew rooms bitching up a storm, give it up.

Champcar,

Do you work for mesa? There is nothing wrong with that and no one is attacking you for it. But you have to admit Mesa charging 50 bucks for an interview is ridiculous. Working your way up is an arguement that can be saved for another thread, it doesnt hold any water here.

Pavelump's response i dont think was unwarranted, CRJ279 was somewhat implying that the 2 are in the same class because they both charge a "processing" fee.

But in the end we dont have anyone to blame but ourselves. Its all about supply and demand. and there is an overwhelming demand to fly for the airlines. Proof is that. arguably the least desireable regional airline to work for is charging a fee to interview and people are still showing up.

Seemed like a particularly vitriolic response . . .
