| Wut? Has anyone tried sending in emails to news/media companies to get their attention about this 'program'? The media is extremely interested in aviation related safety factors... On second that, it would be a bunch of free advertising and probably increase their "enrollment" ! |

Nope, no one in the news/media will really care. As long as no passengers have been killed (safety record is perfect), the media won't care. And as far as passengers: as long as the fare is rock bottom $39 one way between Orlando and Miami, passengers won't care.

| Have you read all of the 'letters of thanks' on the Gulfstream site? Why would a bunch of major airline Capts send their kids there? Beyond me.. ![]()

| Well, he obviously doesn't understand (or refuses to acknowledge) what exactly it means for him to be paying to sit in that seat. F 'em, hope I never meet him down the road. Quote:

News Recently, Gulfstream has acquired Embraer Brasilia aircraft. These are flying into some of our popular destinations, including Freeport, Nassau, and Orlando.

| Interesting... Now here is a question. Do Gulfstreamer FOs log Dual received for their flights? Do captains there log Dual given? What about their mechanincs? Do they pay to turn wrenches there? Gotta have FAs on those Brasildos... Are they PFTers too? |

| Old Skool | I wonder if that was the same tool I ran accross a while back. Was reading one of those "what do you fly" threads on one of the aviation groups. Some tool said "I am a first officer for Gulfstream International Airines" so I posted "so, how'd buying a job work out for you?....Scab" He never responded (that I saw) but I did get a PM from some dude who was like "heh, exactly what I was thinkin, just didn't type it."

| Agent Smith | You CAN'T be an FO for Gulfstream... You're the 20th passenger.

| Calling them scabs isn't right though, even if their Dad's are... I saw somewhere recently where they should be called Warts? Sounds good huh? Actually, "Gulfstreamer" is pretty derogatory in its own right... At least in my view. Anyone got another name to refer to this group of PFT pilots? |

| Agent Smith | Good question. We certainly have the traffic to make a 'precedent' on what to refer to them as.
