Heli-Chair: This Student Hovers His 1st Time in a Helicopter

It's hard to believe but watch the videos and read about this Heli-Chair that looks like a toy gizmo but seems to be a pretty clever and serious training device. It seems to allow student Helicopter pilots the opportunity to learn to coordinate the control pedals, collective and cyclic well enough to shave 10 -12 hours off the normal flight instruction time.

It could save you more than $1,000 and those many hours of time.

Here's some links to some of their many videos.

Remember, it only looks like just a toy interface.

And on this video you'll see a Heli-Chair student with 0 hours of actual helicopter time hovering in an R-22 just 3 minutes after lift off.

It seems remarkable to me. How about those with real flight hours in rotorcraft. What do you think of this device?
