| Old Skool | what is involved? considering I already have the private, instrument, and soon commercial, what will I need to get my rating? how many hours will it take to get the rating? I heard having private alone makes it much easier since ure not totally new to aviation. how much will it run me on avg? (private, inst addon, commercial even? turbine addon?) I might consider going to a heli place tomorrow and ask some questions, see what they say. thanks guys! oh, and on avg what does it cost to rent a heli?

| I have heard it takes an airline guy about 60-80 hours depending on how quickly they pick it up to do a commercial rotor add-on. This is assuming you have a commercial airplane. High on my to do list. I am just waiting for that time when I have 20 large burning a hole in my pocket. -Jason |

| Problem is your still going to have to pay to for the first 200-300 hours before you would be able to get a job instructing anywhere. ~250/hr for a two seat trainer schweizer sp? or r22 |

| According to the regs you can get it 60-80 hrs. The question now comes into ins requirements. Most require at least 200hrs heli to teach. Sometimes it as high as 300 hrs. Shane
