| Old Skool | Anyone going for the free flight training if you sign a 4-year contract? After all, they're so generous you can finance up to $100,000! Run people, run! |

| Hmmmm. The Air Force has a 10 year commitment for $2M+ worth of training. They don't make you finance it up front. Oh yeah, they'll probably still be in business in 4 years |

| Got the same e-mail too. I spoke to them a few months ago about their program. Sounded a lot like DCA to me. Including the price. |

| SJUFLYER, went to DCA with me, and went to RAA after getting his CFI at DCA. He went to a local FBO and got his CFII and MEI really quick. He did RAA's bridge program and is supposed to get his CRJ type rating next week if I remember right. Suppossedly he has an interview with Air Wisky as soon as he's done with his type rating. I guess with their program, you get to skip most of the systems part of class at Air Wisky if hired. I know Skyways hired a buch of their instructors right after they came to DCA and hired 8 of our instructors. |

| [ QUOTE ] Which company was that with an AZ campus, out of curiousity? [/ QUOTE ]They started up a very small operation here at willie (2 old cherokees) and dont seem to fly much. Myself and another member of JC were up visiting the tower a few weeks ago and they mentioned that they nearly had to violate the two very first RAA flights. | Hey Missed, thanks again for the tour! Checking out the tower was excellent. When I went to Willie I checked out RAA as well as ATP and ASU. RAA was just getting set up...the place was almost empty except for a simulator they had up and running. There were two students in the sim, with a couple alleged "retired airline pilots" giving instruction. They were nice guys and all, but I left there feeling pretty uneasy about the place. I felt like they REALLY needed some students, fast. They (the recruiter and the pilots) put on the "hard sell"...and kinda reminded me of used car salesmen or something. Maybe it was just cuz they were so new, I don't know, but my gut told me to keep walking. They only had one plane at the time, but their "fleet" was supposedly arriving soon. | I called RAA when I found out they were coming to town to see if they needed instructors. The guy asked where I trained and how far along. I told him I was an MEI with nearly 1000/150. He said great, we need instructors especially with your experience.....come on down. When I got there, they immediatley put me in the conference room with two of them and tried to sell me on their CRJ type rating for the everyday low price of $25,000 ... I explained to them that I did not need that with the amount of time I had and was only interested in the instructing job they said they needed filled. They pressed on and continued to piss me off. They said I have too much TT for their operation because their instructors get hired at 700TT with the CRJ type. I finally said thank you, but no thank you and left. I can't stand people that cannot be honest with people and who intentionally try to mislead them. My short experience with that company really spells out the charactar and management behind the whole operation. It reminded me of what I have read about the poor ATA guys. IP |

| Agent Smith | I might even go again next week. Not as much for the museum, just for another chance to hang out with vets, ask questions, get answers first-hand and say "thanks" to a group of people that prevented German and/or Japanese from becoming an occupied US's official languagfe. |

| RAA actual words: "We have immediate openings that must be filled NOW!" Run, Forest, Run, fast and far as you can from this scam! |

| Old Skool | RAA seems to be growing by leaps and bounds out here at IWA. Not sure why from everything I hear about them, but there are a whole bunch of nice looking Warriors and Senecas on their ramp. Now, as to their flying skills? I've heard two of the Senecas be asked to call a phone number in the past 3 weeks. Not a huge vote of confidence there. As far as TAB goes... I don't understand their scam as they don't really have an airline yet to push their students into. Eh, who cares really. Less competition for me when I finally get to my airline interview ![]() Ethan |
