Semi gross, but I think you can see the outline of his head in pic 3.

I've enjoyed flying it for the 40+ hours I have in it. But it's also an upgrade from the Navaslow. So I suppose its relative, but certainly I would enjoy flying the MU-2 more. It seems to be a bird magnet. Same company, same plane, same DAY, different location, and someone else hit a sizable bird. Fortunate for him, less dramatic then the OPs incident.

Good reason to wear shatterproof sunglasses.

My record before I got hired at amf was a birdstrike every 100 hours, most from flying jumpers.

Jeez - I sure hope that bird's okay. Last thing we need now is PITA oversight.

So, where's all the "take that Sully and Stiles!!!" comments?

11k feet, bird in face, successful landing.....that's pretty hardcore.

Heh. Mitsi is deafening and terrifying on the outside. 99 sounds like your garden variety twin caravan on the outside but makes the poor long suffering freight pup on the inside deaf as a post. Need to tall to waco about those implants (only half kidding...4 plus years of prop freight has definitely taken its toll.)

You ain't kidding. Rode on a 99 a few times, but mostly did Chieftains and some Metro in my cargo days. That combined with a career in fighters, a time of ground combat, and now primarily in helos, makes for me not being able to hear much above the 2000 db range.

2000 db????

I dont think any human would be able to hear that as they would be permanently deaf at about 200 db. I'd like to see what would make 2000 db too. That must be impressive.

2000 hz maybe
