The Remember 3407 Project needs the help of all current and would-be aviators out there. As a 'grass roots' movement to lobby Washington through email and letters, Remember 3407 Project gains its strength through numbers. The fastest way to spread that word, obviously, is through the internet. For those of you that frequent other web forums, please spread the word there so others know about this. For those of you who want to continue the effort, tell your colleagues, friends, and family as well. The more people make themselves knowledgeable about the true state of airline travel, the more people will understand the need for action. We have Washington's and the public's ear on our issues- now is the time to make our voices heard. Thank you for your assistance. Remember 3407 Project www.remember3407project.org

How about a letter with facts in it that people can send to their Reps and Senators that that everyone is saying the same thing. I think if you rely on people and their opinions you run the risk of alienating your intended audience. If you provide a unified front with a consistent message I think you'll do a lot better.

There's a form letter on the site. It lists the agenda of R3407P and explains why those things could stand to be changed. I suggest it for those who don't know what to write. For those that want to speak their mind differently, I encourage that. While all opinions may not agree or convey themselves as eloquently as others, conveying the message of another concerned citizen is what counts.

| Yep. Just as long as people keep it civil and stay objective. Angry, hateful people can ruin a good thing.

The site needs to lose the black background and white text and reverse it. It's hard to read. Plus it fills up the entire screen that makes reading harder. It needs to have some sort of frame to it. I like this tagline: All material, unless otherwise credited, is copyrighted and property of the Remember 3407 Project. 2009. Did you take that picture on the top? This one? ![]() I know I sound harsh. You don't want to get sued for that image. Just an FYI.

I think somewhere on the front page you should incorporate your opening statement of the R3407 thread and change some of the wording to make it sound appropriate for the site. I liked it a lot, but as I said it needs a little rewording to change it from sounding like it belongs here to sounding like it belongs to your site. Excerpt: "Okay, I've had more than enough. It's plainly clear to me that we, as aviation professionals, as Americans, as human beings, are under attack. We're being beaten down into plow horses, mules, and hapless indentured servants. ENOUGH! I hereby propose that collectively, both here on JetCareers, in our own personal lives, at our places of business, and through our Unions, we begin the process of CHANGE. We have had endless rhetoric and conjecture on what should be done about the nature of our business. But what HAS been done? It seems nearly always that things end with "but what can we do.. none of us know how to do this sort of thing..." So? Ladies and Gentlemen, at times such as these, it is important that we not look at the Herculean task before us and falsely assume we must each untake the task all in our own selves. Reinventing the wheel or martyring one's self to the 'cause' of a better standard of living is NOT what we need. What we need is something very many of us already do very well: a cool, calm assessment of the situation at hand, the tools we readily have available, and the will to act confidently and decisively. It's time. In today's political atmosphere of Change, more possibility exists to conceive the differences needed in order to make this a better world for all of us. What will all the rhetoric do from last fall if we simply let the sound of the trumpets fade when the moment when we must DARE TO BE GREAT go UNANSWERED!" |

I am going to share the links with my family. The problem with the general public is that they know almost nothing about aviation. Spreading the word with the links, and having your family and friends is a great way to get the knowledge out to the public.

Yeah, that. I put the form letter up so people would have something to base off of. I really hope people take the time to put heart and soul into a letter that means something. A letter that meant something to the author will mean something to the reader as well. As far as the website critiques, duly noted. There are a few things that could be much improved on. I'll be working to implement a few of the suggestions. As far as website design, I'm an extreme neophyte on the design end of things, but I really needed to get something up in a fairly timely fashion. I've had some volunteers for website design- further suggestion would be much approved. Thank you all for your feedback, input, and support. Together, we can make lasting, much needed changes to our industry.

The flight schools will lie to you, the airlines will lie to you, the 'past mystique' will lie to you. Here on JC there's a great wealth of truth about the 'here and now'. Kudos to you for being here.
