Not much detail yet. Aborted take-off maybe?

I can't believe you're speculating on a cause from the info presented.

Don't do that.

Why not? I haven't made any judgements, just some idle speculating about what may have happened. I could see the validity of your complaint if I were second guessing pilots' actions, but I'm not sure I see the problem with what I've said so far.

Just looking for clarification, not an argument.

Oh, its just cargo... who cares?

Glad everyone was ok, pretty significant damage, I bet that will cut their duty day in half.

Never a good thing to see, but man, that could have turned out a whole lot worse. The picture posted here doesn't show it, but there are a ton of houses about 1/2 mile off the nose of the plane.

Glad none of our pilot brethern were hurt. Very lucky.

It appears to have been a -100. Could have been a -200. Sometimes when they are converted, different windows on the upperdeck are blocked out. Definately not an SP.

It was obviously a cargo shift...geez, can't you tell that from the great amount of information and the picture?!? I can't believe no one has solved this mishap yet!!! You guys are letting me down. Oh yes, if there is any doubt...

Glad no one was seriously injured. We have a few guys in our unit that flies for them.

A little duct tape and she'll be able to be ferried right back to Oscoda.

We used to do approaches up into Oscoda when I was working on my instrument ticket. I heard a lot of those airplanes up there came in with somewhere between little and no avionics, so they were coming in on VFR flight plans with nothing more than a hand held to get them to where they were going.

That place was kinda wild.

I'm glad the outcome was saved lives. Sorry about the loss of the aircraft, though.
Quote:
The aircraft cracked in two after it crashed at the end of runway 220, which lies very close to a rail line and houses.
As usual, something must come out wrong with the news.
