Default gojet / go! - different airlines?

I was led to believe that gojet did flights in hawaii but then I saw there is a company called go! airlines, are they related? I've read that gojets is not the best company to work for because they backstabbed tsa and it hurts other pilots jobs just by working for them. Is go! the same in anyway? If this is true I wouldn't consider working for gojet. What is the story about these two airlines and what are the hiring times and QOL for go!

Go! is a subsidiary of Mesa Air Group.

GoJet is an alter-ego airline of Trans States Holdings.

Neither is a reputable carrier and I personally wouldn't be caught dead flying in the cockpit of either.

Sure.

Mesa is near bankruptcy STORY. They are also most noted for their horrendous treatment of their pilots and employees. Their CEO is nothing short of a tyrant and has single handedly ran the company into the ground.

GoJet was created by Trans States Holdings to circumnavigate some scope issues with their other airline, TSA hence creating an alter-ego. Their pilots are laughed at, mocked, heckled on the radio, denied jumpseat privileges, and encounter all sorts of mockery from their colleagues from other airlines.

Like said, your best off shooting for another carrier.

Thus I believe these two are the only ones right now hiring with what we use to call the "normal" (low time) hours (and or were hiring i dont know if either are now)..... Everyone else has gone up in hours. So if you are looking at these two based on a low time stand point, stay clear and get the hours up and apply else where. Many other options that are out there. Many ways to get to your ultimate goal more so is what I am referring to.

You might want to do a search for these airlines on the forms here. There is A LOT of hostility toward both those airlines.

Working for mesa doesn't hurt anyone else but yourself then? Does working for mesa degrade other pilots jobs? When you decide to work for go jet what are the reasons that you are treated so badly, is it only because they did tsa dirty?

Aren't airlines such as eagle, piedmont, colgan hiring low timers normally right now?

Just always remember in aviation or any job it’s much easier to quit a job then get a job. So when starting out take what you can get and go from there.

Not really the best perspective, IMO.

There are plenty of high paying CFI jobs that can ultimately lead to freight and so forth. I think it's a horrible idea to take what you can get until something better comes along.

Why not build experience as a CFI or freight pilot and wait for the job that is rewarding? My guess is you'd be thrilled you did.

It seems it's all about QOL, by taking the mesa job it looks like your going to have some very rough times with the company itself, but you are getting 121 experience. Working for gojet looks like your QOL revolves around ridiculing from other pilots but what about the company, are they well run?

A 15 second search will turn up 15 hours of reading material.
