Default Any, I mean ANY jobs in the Phoenix area?

So yes, I'm well aware that there are a ton of CFI opportunities, but I'm looking to make at the minimum a lateral move...

So given someone who has:

1200 TT, 600 turbine MEL, all 135 mins met...

is there any sort of job that anyone is aware of that is presently hiring in the Phoenix area?

Heck, even Mesa is furloughing!

Would love to hear from Amflight employees if they like it, etc.

There is a "jobs available" forum that not everyone may post a particular opening on. Soliciting available jobs is forbidden in that forum which is why it's in General Topics.

You could try to fly Caravans, 135 VFR at Westwind.

You and I already talked about Airnet. Unless you are willing to relocate for a while and hope to get a base close to home down the road, it probably won't work for ya.

Have you been furloughed yet, or something you are pretty much expecting? Just some pre-planning perhaps? Either way, Good Luck. Hate to see anyone lose a job.

Not yet, but it's all but a certainty at this stage.

Nah, we don't. I have higher priorities (like finding a job) to get involved in the squabbling.

Amen!

Little bit too easy anyway. BTW, you never got back to my PM, did you reconsider?

I'd instruct to stay current if you couldn't find anything "better." I'm not sure what one can do with your times nowadays, especially limiting yourself to just PHX. Are there any 135 places around (check the FBOs) that could use a guy in the right seat?

Three hundred more hours and you'll meet the mins. It can't hurt to apply now.

and one nugget that some pilots would not want to do:

......Pilots currently on furlough must resign their seniority and any call back rights.

Remain calm, and everyone will be ok.......

JWP_145, where do you instruct? I am in the PHX area for the summer (DVT, GEU, GYR) and I am looking for a good FBO to fly at. I am looking for 1980 era C172's or equivalent. I don't want to pay $130/hr for the new Cessna's. Do you have any recommendations. So far the only two FBO's I know about are Westwind Aviation (DVT) and Gold Coast Helicopters (GEU).

Thanks a lot.

Sometimes to move forward you must take a step back.

Yep, applied a few days ago.

Like I said in another thread, a lot of companies (mine included) don't accept resignation of recall rights, because they know that a lot of other places require that to be employed.

Which sucks, but yeah, I know. Let me clarify that I'm not discounting CFI jobs, because I think I'll ultimately be CFI-ing again. While it isn't my #1 option (I have plenty of dual given already), I'm more than willing to do it again, and I know I'll have some fun. I am just already aware of where all the different academies in the valley are located, so I don't need any help with that. Besides, they're all advertising like crazy on climbto350

There might be a Beech 99 spot open in Phoenix for AMF. There has been some movement there recently. It wouldn't hurt to call and ask.
