Default American Flyers... Part 61 or 141?

I just got off the phone with one of the representatives at AF. She quoted me $4,000 for part 61, which is the same as part 141 though you have to schedule all of your checkrides with the FAA. She also quoted me $6,000 for part 141, the only difference being that they give you your CFII endorsement and let you schedule the CFI-A by yourself but also give you 10hrs of dual in addition.

My question is how bad is the scheduling with the FAA/FSDO? Does it take months to get a spot with an examiner? Is the 2k worth it? All responses are appreciated

Hey man, go to the CFI link at the bottom and look for AF threads there. There have been many threads over the past 6 months on the subject. Also, do a search for American Flyers CFI academy.

Guaranteed to answer your questions about the program.
