Their website claims no other business jet can attain those speeds, but doesn't the Citation X do .92? Or is that its maximum speed?

Very impressive airplane. I can't believe how low the cabin alt is, that will make it so much more comfortable. I believe the Citation X max is .92M and the G650 is .925M.

I know a CX captain and he says they fly those speeds a lot

I think that .92 may be rounded by both companies. The G650 is supposed to barely top the speed of the of the Citation by like mach .004

I did not notice many pictures of the flight deck. Do they have any pictures of what the flight deck on one of these would look like? I'd be very curious as the ones on the website look cool but not much there.

I think the range on the X at .92 is something like 900 miles, but NJA_Capt would be the one to ask about that. The G650 will have a much greater range at those high speeds, granted there is no real comparison between the two planes. I've heard they have letters of intent for 500 airframes. At 70 million a plane, that's a whole lot of money.

Alex.

The advanced vision system looks awesome. I don't think I would like looking at the synthetic view, but the enhanced view would be a nice tool to have.

A friend of mine flies the G550 and took me on a tour of it. I got to go through the APU start up and help set it up for a flight. That jet was amazing, so I can only imagine what the 650 is going to be like inside.

I couldn't find any, because I'd love to see that myself.

yeah I saw that one. But I was hoping to see a little more. The flight deck from that view does kind of resemble the RJ....

The CRJ is to the Gulfstream 650 what the Space Shuttle is to the Starship Enterprise.

Here is the PlaneView II on a G550. Gulfstream says they will be common.

I don't see how anything over a 2 or 3 hour leg makes corp. aviation "better".

Longer trips, more time away from home.....I'll pass. So, yeah... *yaaaaaaaaaawn*.
