Default Low time international jobs

Hi guys- Life got in the way and I have been offline for a while but I am getting back to flying and posting. Working on finishing up with my instrument, commercial and CFI in the next couple of months. I am interested in taking a job in a foreign country to build up some cash and have an adventure. I have a wife and two kids so has to be somewhere decent to be with a family. I am thinking of Dubai. Any info or leads would be appreciated. Looking to CFI or FO. Thanks!

Plenty of CFI jobs going out in Asia, gurenteed 2000$ a month or more if you make more of pay, paid for housing, and some time off + free tickets to your home country. Some give you the oppurtunity to upgrade to the right seat of some airline after a certain amount of time. Don't have many specifics or remember the names of the companie, but I know for a fact I have seen plenty of offers out there like that. Just be careful if you decide to go for it and do your research.

I know Virgin Nigeria was hiring at least 4-5 months ago applicants with an ICAO Comm. Multi Instrument with 330 hours TT for their 737/E190/E175s. But I can't find any info on it under the careers section on their website anymore. Just gotta keep your eyes open and search.

Try looking at the websites of various contracting companies out there. They are usually the ones with the deals. Good luck.

I'd have to seriously consider that one if it came up again.

Signing of a 5 year contract was required, as well btw. Don't know the details though.

lol, figured it was something to think about if it did come up again.

If the money was OK and the amount you would save living in Nigeria, you could probably save up your first or second year enough money to break the contract and run off with the experience and maybe a type... unless now they change it and make you buy your own type.. who knows. Either way I was considering it too, then I realised there is no chance I would be able to last there probably even 1 year. Would be a hell of an adventure though.

I'd really like to find an international job with a big block schedule like 30 on 30 off, even 8 weeks on 4 off. I have a place here I could stay for the off time, and I'd save up a lot of cash.

There are a few on climbto350.com, I'm just not qualified. Here's a link from one, there aren't many details in the ads though.

And to the OP, there are spots in Dubai, but they want 1000PIC

Please, never over estimate my abilities of perception. It seems to be a mistake many people make.

Never underestimate my abilities to fail miserably at communicating. My wife will attest...

Ahh a wife. Now I get the joke. Being 19 and single leaves me a little more open to such a schedule.

I've yet to see that job, so it's not a schedule deal for me.

I'm sure they're out there, I've just never heard of it (doesn't mean much)

I think Air Atlanta Icelandic has a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule.

Check pprune, that's the int'l hookup (Sorry Doug....JC is still infinately better )

Im at flight safety in vero beach right now with Eagle. There are 8 nigerians here. I got to talking to one yesterday and apparently they are here with Virgin Nigeria. The program is fully paid for by VN and they are given a stipend. The guy I was talking to was in private pilot ground school. Pretty amazing how other countries do things...
