Well, they've still got a decent amount of cash on hand. Enough for another 6 quarters of $30MIL in loses. I really hope Xjet can stay together until things get better. I have a few really good friends over there and I still think they have one of the best management groups.

I wish you guys the best.

I'm willing to bet that the board won't let it bleed their cash reserve to nothing.

I heard we might have to furlough up to seniority number 2610 or so.

Hey as soon as I get a relief line again, which will *hopefully* be next month, I'll aim for it! I'm back to short call reserve again this month.

How many pilots you guys have? I didn't know you had that many.

I listened to the Delta president speak last week at a road show...basically he said more airline failures are probably going to happen...and if oil stays at $120, it's a game changer...it will completely reshape the landscape of the industry.

Delta will get beat up over the next couple of years but will be a survivor. Air Tran, United, Airways are supposedly in liquidity watch. United supposedly is a mess. SWA...without the hedges...would have had the worst yields in the industry at negative 10.5. Delta is projected yields this year of 1 to 2 percent.

SWA hasn't made money on airline operations in years. They're living on their fuel hedges.

I disagree. Their pricing structure is based upon their hedges.

Hedges don't "run out," though. They will ALWAYS be able to charge less than the guy next door because they are ALWAYS hedging their fuel bets.

Why would the fuel companies agree to hedges when they know costs will continue to rise?

And the stock is currently up 3.45% today, in case anyone was considering using CF as a financial adviser.

Anyone taking stock advice from an airline pilot is nuuuuuuuutz.

Pilots are good for flying, cheap eats, gossip, movie quotes and finding happy hours.

Like Doug said, taking financial advice from me is like taking diet advice from Rosie O.

But what this really shows is how little faith the investors have. XJT reported a 30 million dollar loss and the investors said "This isn't as bad as I thought it would be!"

$30 million a quarter!!! And that's somehow an "improvement" in the stockholders eyes (likely because they think the SKW deal is imminent now... which I agree with)

I do not impose my financial wisdom on anyone but I thought I would put it in writing so I can gloat later. I put a large percentage of life savings into LCC and DAL at just under $7 a share.

There was actually an analyst who recommended buying ExpressJet stock under the pretence that they are now going to be a bigger takeover target by SkyWest.
