It's all good. You'll be a zillionaire by 35 and you'll be hiring one of us to fly around your G-VI.

And of course DC-9s/MD-80s. Im sure there are many more aircraft that use that engine, but it's a very strong, proven engine, and makes quite a noise.

Having worked as a mechanic on JT8's, I have to chime in and say that any engine that is required to be changed to fix a failed bleed valve is a piece of crap.

Hey, It takes two to fly a Gulfstream. Of course the FO will be paying me for the privelage of flying a G. So I guess you are right, I'll only be hiring one pilot. I'll start taking resumes now, to be accompanied by a $50 review fee, Checks can be made out to Justin Vroom. I'll take the green stuff too.

This is non-sequitur but you've got to get into the F1 racing circuit man.

Know of a team that would hire an entry level engineer, and get him a work visa?

I do have some IC engine tuning experience, if that helps.

Seriously, I would drop all aspirations of building airplanes to be an engineer for a F1 team.

My understanding of the reason why you get the "buzzsaw" (grinding/growling) sound on the fan on engines is due to low intake airspeed and high power.

You'll notice as you climb and the speed increases, the buzzsaw sound dissapates.
