 Contracting flights for charitable purposes
I've seen what's been going on around the world and feel compelled to help. I'm not specifically asking for donations mostly info.
My focus is Africa; especially Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Malawi. I feel it is one of my missions in life that I might end some of their suffering. I've been collecting things, mostly clothes, that my wife, baby boy, and I don't use anymore. I've also got some stuff from my mother and a couple whom I work with. Just from this small group I've been able to gather close to 75 pounds. I know I can give them to Red Cross or any number of NPO's or churches and they'll go to a good cause but I'd like to be more involved. I'm sure I can gather hundreds of pounds.
What I'm looking for is a means of getting it their:
Are there carriers specific to this cause?
Is it possible to contract government/military planes?
Is there some way I can charter it myself and write it off?(least desired)
Is there anyone with a large plane who would be willing to make the trip?
