Default Carrier - Life aboard the Nimitz

Pretty good show on PBS about the day to day life aboard the Nimitz at sea. Not sure how many times they'll run it, but it is certainly worth watching.

It sure is a good show. It's on just about all night. The call signs part was funny.

thanks for the reminder, I forgot all about it.

Takes me back a ways...

That's my old airwing:

Of course, we didn't have women aboard back in the day...

Outstanding show. Although it is a little more than day to day. The life on a 6 month cruise underway is much different than when at homeport or out for a spoin around the Pacific....

Took me back a ways too. Defintely brought a twinkle to my eye. If you're going to be in the Navy, you have to be underway, and if you're going to be underway, there is no better place than onboard an aircraft carrier.
