Default Pilatus PC 12 Performance Needed..

Does anybody know the PC12's KTAS in the climb, cruise, descent?

Also, I need typical rates of climb and descent considering a reasonably full boat.

Last but not least, the average fuel burn in the climb, cruise, and descent.

I'll explain why later..

(uh oh, Merit's up to something)

I don't have any of those figures, but from what I remember of a company I did some work for, in order for the plane to be efficient you needed to be carrying about 3000lbs of load and need to go more then 800 miles. Less then that in either sense and the plane just wasn't worth it.

From what I recall (and this is general, so probably not very helpful), it burns 450lbs it first hour and 350 each hour after that.

According to Flightstar, the pilatus with a full load will climb at 1400 (feet per min)150-170 KTAS, cruise at FL220 at 263 KTAS and descent at about 240 (2000 ft p/min) KTAS. On about a 340NM trip burn about 730lbs of fuel at 75 percent power.

I have alot of info as for cruise altitudes fuel burn and true airpseed.

At 75 percent power at FL260 you can expect a 375lb per hour fuel burn and TAS of 261.

If your looking for some basic numbers I can probably give them to you.

All this performnce at ISA

Generally at max gross you can climb at 1200 - 1500 fpm through around 120 burning 550 lb/hr at 140 - 160 KTAS. Above that it drops to around 1000 and tapers to just over 500 fpm over 240.

Cruise at 250 burns 370 - 400 with a TAS of 250 - 260.

All these numbers are based on either 36.9 torque or 720 ITT, whichever is higher.

Descent is at the pole/redline at whatever fpm you need (Vne is 236 KIAS), though fuel burn doesn't improve too much. At 1000 fpm it goes from 350 lb to 450 lb down to the ground.

fltplan.com has good numbers for planning purposes.
