Default ID90s...how do they work?

So Im planning on going to Costa Rica, possibly on United. Since I can't jumpseat on them internationaly (I think) Ill have to buy an ID90. Where do i get one? From United directly? Is it a standby ticket? How much do they cost?

Thanks

You buy the ID90 from your own airline. Go to your ticket counter and give them all the info. FWIW, I believe that UA is the same as DL. You can js internationally, just can't ride up front. There needs to be a seat in the back. Yes, it is a SB ticket, usually with the lowest priority. As far as cost, ????

Ok so if you can jumpseat in the back on United or others, is an ID90 mainly for non-jumpseatable people

Thanks

You got it. As long as the carrier allows unlimited jumpseats.

BTW, where are you going from? Ya know, DL goes to both San Jose and Liberia.
