Another free alternative is the one Garmin has. It was designed to import directly from a Garmin handheld GPS but works well enough as a simple free stand-alone application. I only looked at it briefly, so I'm not certain of its file format, although I understand it exports to csv which is a format that can be read by most any spreadsheet pot database program. (I've been using an eLog of my own creation for more than a dozen years, so I look at these more out of curiosity more than anything else):
