| I'm looking for a hotel in Las Vegas that is pretty cheap, hopefully located near the strip. I swear Airways had a 3 day deal for 99$ cause every time I walk through CLT I see a sign for it. Its for June and I dont know if any hotels around there give cheap crew rates or not. Any help is appreciated!! |

| Hooters wasn't too bad for $60 a night... I was there about two weeks ago. |

| Old Skool | Circus Circus may give crew rates.

| Old Skool | There is always the Sahara. It is cheap, and has the mono-rail connected. ![]()

| I'll second Hooters. Stayed there for like $29 a night during NJC '07, and it wasn't too bad. Just a short walk from the strip, and the other big name hotels. Oh, and Hooters girls.

| I would have to say hooters is your best bet as well. The rooms are usually cheap, and the walk is short to the strip. i would say 10 min. to mgm/ny, ny. the food isn't the greatest though.

| Whatever you do, don't stay at Tropicana. The first thing I noticed when I keyed into my room was the mirrors surrounding the bed and on the ceiling. Then I noticed the pathetically small 13" tv with limited channels, followed by the suspicious stains on the carpet. I actually carefully lifted the bedspread to check under the bed for a dead hooker, because the room just smelled.... ah.... funky. Alas, only dust bunnies. You think I'm kidding. I'm not. It made good blog fodder, though.

| Just got back from Vegas on a personal trip...hotels were very expensive. Stayed at Paris for about $235 per night. Crew hotel that is typically $50 was going for $189. Supposedly, foreign travel into Vegas is is extremely strong. (BTW, the cards still favor the house, but the girls at the pool are hotter than ever.)

| Don't know what the quality is like but the Plaza had a pretty good rate last September. Knight's Inn by the airport is ok too. |

| We stayed there a couple of weeks ago... Not bad, but I don't have extremely high standards. About a 5 min walk to the monorail. And what is wrong with having mirrors everywhere??? ![]()

| Old Skool | Heres a tip. Check the web to see if there is a large convention in town. If so the room rates are always higher, sometimes double. B767Driver I believe you may have been here during the NAB Convention which is Vegas's 3rd largest convention of the year.

| The temps should be well into the 100 degrees plus range in June. Most hotels are less exspensive in the summer months. Yet a convention will jack up the prices as mentioned earlier so plan accordinly if you have the flexiability. Call around, it should pay dividends for alittle bit of time on your part. Lastly, always mention if the rate quoted is their best price before you hang up. Usually mid-week stays offers lower rates as well. Good luck and remember moderation in LAS is your friend Have fun....8sm |

| Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the recommendations, I will be going out the 19-21 and it doesn't seem like there are any conventions. Hopefully I can find something cheap...don't they know they will make all their money off me at the casino? lol |

| I have never tried it, but I heard if you discretely slip the front desk clerk a $20, they will upgrade your room to a much nicer one. YMMV |
