Default Piper Aztec down just off of POC

I was coming home this evening when I noticed multiple news helicopters hovering just south of my house, in the vicinity of Brackett Field. I found out that there was a crash.

Witnesses said they heard a pop, and the plane suddenly began descending and then banked sharply to the left. Loss of critical engine and Vmc?

My thoughts are with those involved in the crash.

Who knows? Might have been ligers (bred for magic.) Its best not to speculate until at least the prelim comes in.

I hope they're OK.

As bad as this sounds summer time is coming and we will be getting a lot more of these. I just moved into an apartment in December located right next to an airport. However recently I have just started to notice the stupid things people do while flying. How many people who have and do hard banks at low altitudes, saw a plane the other day stall and or what appeared to be a stall in a climb out(lost a good bit of altitude). Just really bothers me in a way..... I know we have currency requirements but I'd like to see perhaps the FAA get more difficult on some people who are no frequent fliers (more of a currency issue with a certain amount of hours needed to fly a year or something). Who knows.... Its me ranting as I've noticed some questionable things as of late right by the near by airport...... People just need to be smarter with their flying.... And in no way am I saying this incident was anyones fault......

That is such a busy area to fly in as well. My thoughts are with those involved.
