I think we have what, three or four on the 757/767 fleet. 75's have P&W's, 767's have GE's, P&W's and the "big" P&W or something non-technical like that.

heard from a Southwest Captain that they Southwest will get some because ATA used to do some or all of Southwests flights to Hawaii. She was excited because she was going to get to fly to Hawaii.

I thought ATA only had -800s. It doesn't make sense for SWA to get them because they'd have to crew an extra FA on those aircraft.

I saw one of the 757's taxiing out from an FBO in OAK this morning. It's been sitting there since ATA closed it's doors.

We can't crew what we have now, the last thing we need is more DC-10's .
This is why one company operating multiple "seperate" airlines works out so bad. Here you are in the same post saying you specifically don't want their pilots... and then that you need pilots.

On another note...what'll happen to the Skybus Airbus fleet? Being based in CMH, their planes are parked all over several different ramps. What happens in a situation like that? Don't they just go back to the bank and lease them out to someone else, or do they have go wait until the bankruptcy proceedings are through??

Your "source" seems to forget that since SWA didn't purchase ATA, they can't operate the aircraft to Hawaii because they have no ETOPS certificate, maintenance or training program.

SWA won't be flying to Hawaii any time soon.
